Who Are You Guys? (v.2)

I’ve been thinking about the direction I’m taking this blog (stories, van dwelling info, stripping info, etc.), and I have some questions for you guys. If you’re reading, leave a comment and let me know:

How did you get here?
How long have you been reading?
Why do you come back?
What do you want to see here?
And, of course, who are you?

Last time I did this there were a ton of responses and they were enlightening at the time, but I think I forgot some key questions.

  1. How did you get here?
You know, I really don’t know. Part of my thinks I found you on another blog, and part of me thinks I found you by searching for information on body image and nudity.

How long have you been reading?
    Maybe a month?

    Why do you come back?
I’m from Texas and go to a conservative school. I find that stifling most of the time for political, social, and economical reasons. My soul wants to live out of a tent (I couldn’t do a van, I HATE driving with a passion), and never have to worry about what other people think. More than that, you are a refreshing breath of air because you have this basic idea that women are beautiful and sex is not some horrible sin that we should all run away with.

What do you want to see here?
Anything you want to write. You are inspiring and your life is a dream for me. I don’t think stripping is for me, and I know living out of a van isn’t for me, but I do know that your stories portray a strong woman who doesn’t let society’s assigned gender roles stop her from her path. Keep sharing that.

And, of course, who are you?
I’m Lee. I’m from Texas. I probably shouldn’t be from Texas. Part of me tries to use everyday to get people to be more tolerant of people not exactly like them. I believe women are powerful and magical and spiritual, and that nature (your body included) is the ultimate healer if you don’t pollute it (I’m working on a BS in environmental type stuff). Most people I see daily think I’m insane/going to hell/a dirty hippie (the last one could be true). I’m trying, very, very hard, not to care what people think.

  2. How did you get here?

No idea. I think it was a link on an LJ community.

How long have you been reading?

    Not long, but I’m hooked.

    Why do you come back?

See above. Plus, I’m totally digging your style.

What do you want to see here?

I think what I’ve seen so far is awesome.

And, of course, who are you?

    Just a random reader.

  3. How did you get here? Not sure. I’m doing a term paper on feminist sex workers and you certainly fit the bill.
How long have you been reading? A few months, I think.
Why do you come back? I like the way you write and the way you think, it’s provoking for my paper.
What do you want to see here? What you’ve been doing, pretty much.
And, of course, who are you? A student, female, twenty years old.

Do you mind if I use your site in my paper, with citations of course? If you ever have the chance, I’d love to ask you a few questions on how you feel about the feminism/sex industry thing.

  4. I found your website while researching real, true American hoboes.

I enjoy your writing, especially the vandweller’s tips.

I find your writing intriguing and your life experiences truly fascinating. You are inspirational without even trying very hard and that has alot to do with my attraction to your site.

I hope to get the courage to one day strike out on my own vandwelling adventure. I’m not there yet.

I’m also a guy and would, naturally, love to see more pics of yourself. What can I say?

I’ve been reading your stuff for about 4 months now.

  5. I found you through a link on another blog… the words Hobo Stripper caught my eye! I’ve been reading for few months now. I think your life sounds fantastic and adventurous, and that’s why I keep coming back. I like your writing style and I feel like in a way I’m trying to have a vicarious experience by reading about yours. I’d never have the balls to live the kind of free life you do!!
I’d love to see more pictures, maybe of changes in your van or little snippets of everyday life.

As for me, I’m an elementary teacher in the midwest. I just graduated and I’m substituting until I can find a full-time teaching job. Boring life, very little independence.

I appreciate you sharing so much of yourself with all these people you don’t know!! You are an inspiration. =)

  6. HOW DID YOU GET HERE?
From the Wide Lawns Narrow Minds website

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN READING?

    A couple of months

    WHY DO YOU COME BACK?

It’s just fascinating! I love reading about your life, and you are a great writer.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE HERE?

More of the same! I also agree with the previous commenter regarding Bro. I have an older dog experiencing some of the same problems you describe with Bro, and I am a dog lover, so I like reading about your experience with him and would love to see a picture. I would also be interested (as another precious commenter suggested) in a sort of “Beginner’s Guide to Herbs” and other alternative medicine.

    WHO ARE YOU?

A feminist, flaming liberal living in Minneapolis.

  7. How did you get here?
I was searching for instructions on how to strip and I came across your blog. I can’t remember exactly… Google, probably.

How long have you been reading?
    Since November, 2007.

    Why do you come back?
The interesting stripping stories. I also like the way you write and I really admire the way you’ve carved out this incredibly unique life that makes you happy.

What do you want to see here?
More stripping stories! They’re really interesting.

And, of course, who are you?
    I’m an aspiring stripper/computer geek. I have a blog at saxykris1.wordpress.com.

  8. How did you get here?

I originally found a link from Urban Scout’s website and then also found an entry on Boymeat’s blog which pleasantly reminded me.

How long have you been reading?

    About a month.

    Why do you come back?

I enjoy your stories. I used to live in Seward, AK and have travelled around myself a bit; therefore, I thoroughly enjoy someone elses road stories. Also, someone who is very close to me used to be a stripper so it is kinda a way for me get a different viewpoint of some of the things they may have experienced. I enjoy the pictures and the plant entries as well.

What do you want to see here?
More of the same but maybe a tad more photos…especially landscapes and plants. The ones already posted are awesome.

    Who are you?
husband, father, kinkster, permaculturist, library guy

  9. HOW DID YOU GET HERE? From Matisse’s blog, who, like you, writes well with a wry sense of humor. I am another person who takes vicarious enjoyment in your stories about living simply and avoiding the wage-slave trap.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN READING? a month or two-ish

WHY DO YOU COME BACK? tenderhooligan said it best.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE HERE? more of the same/whatever you want to share

WHO ARE YOU? today? I am an intellectual who has read much more than she has experienced. I am a feminist who stays home to homeschool and raise my children most of the time, and works as a midwife to make a difference in my corner of the world.

  10. How did you get here?-
I found your blog linked from a HouseTruck blog.

How long have you been reading?-
    About 6 months.

    Why do you come back?-
Your writing style is great as are your adventures. Your insights into human nature are great. I have spent a lot of time living in vehicles and miss many aspects of it.

What do you want to see here?-
More of the “Adventures of Tara” and herbology stuff.

And, of course, who are you?-
Roy LeMeur. I spent years following the Grateful Dead and Rainbow Gatherings. I am now in the electric vehicle industry which can easily be seen by googling me.

Thanks Tara! And take care out there.

  11. I found you though Wide Lawns. You and she are the only two bloggers I read regularly who I don’t actually know in real life.

I’ve been reading you assiduously since sometime in October of ’07.

I love your attitude, your politics, and your take on sex work and sexuality.

I love it all– your van dwelling posts, your stripping sex work posts, your herbalism posts, your Bro posts, your rural Alaska childhood posts. Just keep writing!

Well, according to a comment I posted in response to The Big Bad Wolf post, I’m “a raised-rural, queer, feminist ProDomme living and working in California … I often find your observations to be either fascinatingly applicable to, or weirdly illuminating of, my own life, work, and choices.” That’s all still true!

  12. How did you get here?
    >i think i googled “how to strip” or stripping 101 or sumthing

How long have you been reading?
    >atleast 6 months, although i wish i had read it a year ago when i 1st started dancing

    Why do you come back?
    >you’re a very talented writer. u lead an intriging life. u are knowledgable, wise and honest!

What do you want to see here?
    >more tips on stripping skills and how to be a powerful woman in a patriarcial society

And, of course, who are you?
    >a smart, educated, sweet-hearted girl who happens to live an autonomous and lucrative life working as a stripper…
and actually enjoys it much better than 40hrs a wk in a cubicle-formed prison 😉

  13. I think I linked in from Matisse’s blog.

I guess I’ve been reading for a couple of months.

I come back because enjoy your writing, your adventures, and deep down covet the freedom of living in a van.

I really like the random entries about anything and everything – keep it the way it is!

I’m a student living in Sydney, Australia working my way as a checkout chick through my degree.

  14. I found you origianlly through vandwelling research and the yahoo groups….

I love your blog…interesting reading, wisdom shared on herbs, life in vandwelling, and I have been coming for several months now…I check almost daily when I have access to computer.

I am currently on road trip traveling through Ontario, and hoping to become a vandweller in the future 🙂

  15. I found your blog from a link at Grace Undressed.

I’ve been reading for about a year now.

I like the way you write, and i like that you post on a regular basis. When you take a few days break i get out-of-sorts because i like reading the adventures that you are willing to share.

AS far as what I want out of your blog – doesn’t matter this is your house, I’m just glad I get to hang out.

I a white middle age guy, single, living in the Detroit area. The auto industry sucks and I need to get out of here. I love history and myths and think if I could go again I’d look into anthropology. I admire those that have a creative side and are able to bring somthing to fruition (sp).

  16. Hi Tara,

I found you through Matisse’s blog, and I’ve been reading yours for about two months. I come back because you update frequently, and your writing and storytelling are, as Shakespeare would put it “excellently well-penned.” I would also love to see more medicinal herb articles, but my favorites are the day-to-day of it all and the stripping stories.

I’m Dane. I commented rather excessively on one of your other posts this week about Noho, and food.

Thanks for keeping such a great blog!

  17. I found you through RiverCityKitty.com, which I found by searching for stripper boots and I’ve been reading about 5 or 6 months. I love reading your stripper stories as I secretly wish I could be a stripper, but find all your stories interesting and entertaining and that’s why I come back.

  18. I don’t remember how I got here. Probably, a link from Susan (River City Kitty) or Wide Lawns.
Have been reading for a number of months – your archives comprised only 10-15 pages so were a lot easier to go through than would have been for a current newcomer.

Your perspective, insight, and stories keep me glued. So naturally, that is what I’d like to keep seeing. The herbal medicine posts are very interesting too.

I am a Canada-based companion who shares much of your attitude to men, life, society and sexuality. Though my life is a bit more conventional than yours: staying in one place, working on a day-time career I am interested in (sustainability-related) and hoping to eventually earn the bulk of my income from it while keeping companionship as an exciting side only.

  19. How did you get here?
link on Wide Lawns and Narrow Minds blog

How long have you been reading?
Religiously for about 6 months now. lol

    Why do you come back?
Because, and I know how cheesy this is, but its entirely true, I live vicariously through you. You are pretty much everything I would feel natural being. You eat natural, you live natural, well as best as you can, and you work naturally. You are more in tune with yourself than 99.9999999999% of the people I have ever met in my life and to top it off you enjoy every waking (and sleeping) 😉 minute of it. I want that.

What do you want to see here?
I would like to see more stories from your past and hear about the things you experience in day-to-day life in more detail.

And, of course, who are you?
I am a 21 year old female working a desk job to pay for med school cuz im too self conscious to strip and my boyfriend wouldn’t approve either. lol and im too plugged into societal norms that I live through you and your adventures on your blog! keep it up, it keeps me going! lol

  20. I got here from a blurb that nerve.com did on finding your blog.

I’ve been reading since about September, 2007

I keep coming back because you are a great storyteller and a wise woman, I’m interested in your herbal knowledge, I’m interested in sex work in general, and I’ll say it shamelessly, I’m living vicariously through your travel stories.

I’m Shana. A misplaced nature girl who writes poems that should probably be short stories, loves the diverse activities the city offers in people watching, music sharing, culture jamming and dancing. According to one astrology book I was born during the week of youth and ease. I spend a great deal of time teaching myself things and hoping to learn from others.

  21. I havent really read your blog but everyone keeps recommending it and I like the idea of travelling around in a van and stripping that Im going to read it now.

Ive added it to my Google Reader.

Im Lisa, a South African/British 29yr old who is about to spend a year in Australia, possibly driving around in a van and stripping… 😉

Oh and I think I found your link from another stripper’s blog and of course I see you on SW.

Love from the 21st Century Fox

  22. How did you get here? A link at Wide Lawns. I was very curious as to what a Hobo Stripper was – wild crazy mental pictures.
How long have you been reading? A few weeks now. Sometimes a few times a day to read old posts, kill time.
Why do you come back? You’re a very interesting woman. You’re smart, you write well and true. I enjoy going to the club, I just wish the ones around here fed the girls some sammiches occasionally and that they were in a better state of mind.
What do you want to see here? More of the same, the stripping stories that focus on the human element…those get me. Certainly a photo of Bro.
And, of course, who are you? Just another uncool mom to 3 boys (2 are mine, 1 is borrowed) a wife to my kick ass husband (he does laundry!) and a hard worker bee paying mortgage. Come visit us in Brunswick County, NC, USA!!

  23. How did I get here? Was driving my daughter to school, listening to the radio in Savannah Georgia. They were interviewing Chris about living in his truck. It was interesting, so I went on the radio website to get some background. Found out we lived in the same town in PA. Saved his blog to favs and then he posted your link!!

How long reading? A few months

    Why come back? Interesting

What do I want to see? I just enjoy reading it!

Who am I? Mother, daughter, friend, lover!!

  24. How did you get here?
I think I found you through the van dwellers site

How long have you been reading?
    6 months give or take

    Why do you come back?
Well, you offer a unique perspective. Who wouldn’t be interested in the day to day of a stripper living in a van? You post regularly. I have found lots of blogs that were interesting to me but I tend to stop visiting those which aren’t kept up to date.

What do you want to see here?
I don’t have anything in mind that I would like to see different. I really enjoy most the stories where a whole bunch of weird stuff happens and everything works out – usually in some bizarre way. But who doesn’t like a happy ending.

And, of course, who are you?
40 year old life long East Texan guy who works in a metal stamping shop and often fantasizes about dropping everything, driving around the continent and living out of the back of my truck.

  25. How did you get here?
I read way too many blogs. One of them may have had a link but it’s more possible I got here via your posts in the Yahoo van dwelling group. I don’t even have a van but idea of living in a van fascinates me.

How long have you been reading?
Three or four months I imagine.

    Why do you come back?
You’re funny, intelligent, weird & very different. It’s always interesting reading.

What do you want to see here?
I like most of what you write. As I said, the van dwelling is of interest. My daughter worked as a stripper quite a few years ago so those posts are also interesting. It took her a couple of years to admit her ‘profession’ to her mom and me. I appreciate the insights & stories.

And, of course, who are you?
I’m just around the corner from 60. My wife & I live in the Tampa Bay area. I’m retired and interested in almost everything. We RV when we can but in a moving apartment (travel trailer) not a van. I blog, irregularly(!) at http://tampabaystuff.blogspot.com/

  26. 1. I’m pretty sure I got here by way of Wide Lawns by way of Violent Acres.
    2. I came a few weeks ago.
    3. Because your blog is fascinating, for me, and I love how you write. Also, you have written some things that have seriously set me back on my heels. Mostly I think the F Word. That made me cry. Thanks.
    4. Anything you feel like writing.
    5. 43 yo professional (programmer/analyst) mother of three on my third marriage (not one from each) living in a swamp in the northeast.

  27. How did you get here?

A friend of mine was reading your blog, and she told me to check it out.

How long have you been reading?

    A few months now.

    Why do you come back?

I was a private dancer, and I don’t interact with other dancers, and I need some advice on dealing with clients.

What do you want to see here?

Any of your writing. I like the variety as well.

    Who are you?

I’m the Panther in Pumps. 5150.

  28. How did you get here?
Cannot recall exactly; through a blogroll.

How long have you been reading?
    Two months.

    Why do you come back?
Intriguing and detailed perspectives on stripping, van living and life in general.

What do you want to see here?
The odd picture, though I like it as is.

And, of course, who are you?
Male, officially disabled, and with plenty of time.

  29. i found this from your link on van dweller yahoo group.

    u have a great sight.

    Jeff

  30. I got here from Two Knives Katie, although I don’t remember how I found her blog. I think I was googling for some knitting pattern or other.

I’ve only been here a couple weeks.

I come back because you are a talented writer with interesting stories to tell. And also, like someone else said, because I have the faint but compelling hope that there will be more pictures of you 😉

I am a Web Store Manager and Wilderness Educator in the Pacific Northwest. A lot of your stories resonate with me because I *so* get the feeling of walking in two worlds. In mine, I go from tracking bobcats with pre-teen hoodlums in the backcountry to tracking sales conversion rates on a start-up online business. While neither of those things involves painting my nipples (well, actually, there was that time when we got covered in mud and played hide-n-seek in the swamp…), I still feel like there’s a level at which I relate to your different talents and passions.

  31. How did you get here?

I think it was a like from Reddit.

How long have you been reading?

    Since December.

    Why do you come back?

I really enjoy your writing. Also, I’ve always dreamed of being a bit of a hermit, so reading about some of the natural remedies you use may be helpful someday.

What do you want to see here?

Whatever you want to write. I’m just enjoying the narrative, past and present.

And, of course, who are you?

A ten years late college student.

  32. How did you get here?
Don’t really remember,,, I think it was thru the Mobile homemaker Blog (guide2homelessness.blogspot)(or perhaps the Yahoo group about Vans..

How long have you been reading?
Since the guy on Mobile homeaker was a regular contributor to his blog..
Looks like longer than I could have imagined…

    Why do you come back?
Are you kidding??? Alaska,, You have a dog,, you have a profession that I know nothing about… and it interests me…
    Herbal stuff..

What do you want to see here?
Golly I get to chose??? I don’t wish to accept the responsiblity. I never know what I’m going to read about, and I like that part.

And, of course, who are you?
I”m an older guy who spent almost 3 years with my Wife and diminutive canine companion., living in a travel trailer, working and Dodging being on SSDI. My last job was being a millwright and it lasted just long enough… I”m presently helping my wife clean out her mom’s house which she managed to buy with the money we saved by not supporting some landlords spoiled rotten kid.. or helpng another landlord build a vast empire of barely affordable hovels for folks who really can’t afford better.. We both miss being able to just hook up and move. and with the price of living stationarily, the Future awaits…

  33. How did you get here?

“Metahara” – someone I stay in touch with on Livejournal, though I met her through photoblogging, said that your writing rocked.
One of my housemates now reads regularly thanks to me.

I’m Polly_perverse on Livejounal. Though I would have been Anamorphosis if someone had not already snagged the name for their creepy pro-anorexia blog.

    *shivers*

How long have you been reading?

    About four months, methinks.

    Why do you come back?

    ‘Cause the writing is good.

What do you want to see here?

    Good writing.

And, of course, who are you?

I am a therapist and artist – still an intern but painfully close to be licensed if I can only get the elusive 300 hours in the family requirement section of my internship and pass two tests. I work at a halfway house that helps people with mental illness get back on their feet. I also have a private therapy practice where I mostly work with young women and couples. I also work with people in the sex work industry who generally like their jobs.

I paint and sculpt, though I hardly have time currently. I also practice tightrope walking and whipcracking.

I have a kick ass partner who is a sometimes dragqueen. He photos people painted various colors of the rainbow for his art.

His fabulous stuff is over at Jumbobraindotcom.

  34. How did you get here? I was linked to you via Wide Lawns and Narrow Minds
How long have you been reading? I’ve been reading for a few weeks, but I’ve read all the way back in the archives.
Why do you come back? I find what you write to be very interesting, what can I say?
What do you want to see here? Just keep posting, I come back as often as I can!
And, of course, who are you? My name is Nik, I’m a 21-year-old college student from New York.

  35. I’m not so sure how I arrived here. I’ve been filled with wanderlust lately. When I can’t escape physically, I log on to take a mental vacation. Somehow, it brought me here.

I am a new to the site. I began reading the current entries and became hooked. So, I began at the beginning and am working my way forward.

Because your life is do different from my own, I love to read about how you see the world. You seem to have an understanding about life and the world that few will ever know. (or care to know for that matter)

Not as exciting as Alaska, I call Ohio my home. I am a father of three (and the dachschund) and a husband to one. I work two…. sometimes three jobs. (What the hell am I thinking?) I love travel but do not get to travel nearly enough.

Anyway, Thank you for sharing your life. You are very inspiring.

  36. How did you get here?
-Ironically enough, you were a topic of discussion in an LJ community i’m a part of called “poor skills”. the topic was on van dwelling and how to do so effectively. apparently, you were one of the more effective van dwellers.

How long have you been reading?
-about 2 or 3 weeks. not very long but long enough that i’ve gone through your entire archive.

    Why do you come back?
-you are an interesting person and it fascinates me. the idea of living in a van that is. if i were ever to work up the nerve, i would like to try that for a summer. The stripping on the other hand really wasn’t my thing. i’m just not that kind of dancer, i suppose. now jazz and ballet, i can do and wouldn’t mind doing day in and day out.

What do you want to see here?
-i like your stories. they give me something to think about. provides a new prospective in life. it would probably be too much to ask, but i would love to see some of the outfits you wear for dancing. or maybe some shots of the shoes? i have a shoe thing. i love them!

And, of course, who are you?
-i am jules. a stripper turned college student studying to become an english professor. I’m hoping to go to grad school and do my masters thesis on queer theory and eventually go for my phD focusing on something big and “radical” for texas but i’m not sure what exactly. depends on what my university will let me get away with.

  37. I forgot to add to what i would like to see – i would love to see some of your FO that you’ve crocheted. I’m an avid crocheter as well. in fact, i think my yarn is starting to take over my house.

  38. I got here from one sex blog or another about a month ago.

I like your attitude. You’ve got some wisdom to you that I find compelling. I like how you don’t take the opportunity to tittilate or romanticize with your tales of sex work, and neither do you condemn it or talk about how unhappy you are, and that’s special. You have adventures, and that’s more than most people can say.

I wouldn’t mind hearing more of your thoughts on life, or some good old stories maybe you haven’t told here yet to break up the chronology if you find yourself with time enough to write it all down.

I’m a 28 year old guy who’s lived in seven cities in the last seven years, had a lot of adventures interspersed with periods of overwhelming boredom and/or depression and too much time on the internet when I wasn’t all into, drugs, the occult, out-of-the-ordinary sex lives, breaking the law for a living, odd art installations and harleys and performance pieces and your general folk guitar playing shit. I’d probably be a pretty average burner if I hadn’t been busy every labor day since I first heard about it. I’ve got some friends with serious hobo experience, and I always liked those sorts of stories, the sort of person that gets off a little on that lifestyle. I guess I always figured myself for the sort of person that doesn’t get too bothered when plans get all fucked up but is pulling his hair out after six months in the same damn house full of shit, and you don’t seem too different. I guess I come because I like to read kindred spirits.

  39. Hi

Reading since fall ’07 – can’t remember when. I think I got to you off nerve.com.
I come back because I enjoy your writing – your style, and your perspective on life which is very different to mine.
What do I want to see here? More of the same is good.
Who am I? Hey, I’m just this guy y’know. White, middle class, UK, software developer, married, kids…

  40. I think we found each other because of our shared interest in wildcrafting and folk cures. I think I’ve been reading since August of last year or so. You are one of my favorite bloggers who can write. I expect to see you on NPR and with a few books behind you one day. You write well about topics that people can’t take their eyes away from. I’m attracted by your sense of adventure–you are doing something most people only dream of.

Me, disabled goat farmer, writer, hermit, Appalachian culture junky, neo-hillbilly.

  41. A friend of mine on Livejournal mentioned you a couple weeks ago and I read because you’re very interesting and your life is so different from mine.

I love the detailed accounts of your experiences. I’d also enjoy more pictures, but I know you’ve got to protect your privacy.

I’m a 29 year old poly pagan bi gamer geek and at-home mom (to kids and a multitude of animals).

  42. I got here from your article in NewWitch magazine.

I’ve been reading for a couple of weeks now.

I love your blogs about the clubs you’ve been in. I’ve been thinking about getting into the dancing biz.

I would love to hear more about witchy stuff, LOL.

I’m a 37 year old single mom from KY.

  43. How did you get here?
Was it Mistress Matisse? I think I was browsing through linkies.

How long have you been reading?
Oh, I guess it’s been about 4 months now. I guess that’s not very long relatively speaking.

    Why do you come back?
I like your writing. I enjoy your witty banter about your interactions with clients and your acquaintances. I also used to date an exotic dancer. I wish she was quick and fun like you. I might still be with her then :P.

What do you want to see here?
I’d like to see a picture of you. Naked :D. (I know, I know – not going to happen….oh please oh please oh please?…lol)

And, of course, who are you?
I’m Canadian and I live in Vancouver. I’m in sales and I’m absolutely and positively addicted to the internet! I like taking pictures and being active with sports. I’m dirty two, I mean 32 and I’m of Asian descent. What else do you want to know? Drop me line and ask if you do.

  44. How did you get here?
Journal hopping. I don’t remember exactly what series of hops, but I ended up here that way.

How long have you been reading?
A few weeks, but I’ve read the whole thing, I’m a little strange like that.

    Why do you come back?
I love your stories about stripping, vandwelling and the advice on herbs. I like your writing style and you’re just all around interesting. 😀

What do you want to see here?
More of the same please! <3

And, of course, who are you?
Most call me mouse. I’m just a girl living with a cat in Seattle.

  45. Hi Tara

Really can’t remember how I first found your blog about a year ago. Generally I spend waaay too much time reading other people’s bogs during ‘downtime’ at work … since then I visit it most days.

I like bogs (and people) who manage to combine several seemingly unconnected dimensions in a way that makes perfect sense when you read them (or meet them).

With living in a van, stripping, herbalism you achieve this. All of them are totally different from my own life, but somehow I identify with them. Which is why I keep coming back.

What would I like to read more about – surprise us with more of the same.

    Cheers
    Chris

    Via SW website.

How long have you been reading?
Sometime this past year. I forget now.

    Why do you come back?
You have fascinating articles on stripping and life in general

What do you want to see here?
More Goddess knowledge and your take on it and where you think that it’ll be going.

And, of course, who are you?
I’m a 36 year old woman living in West Toronto, Canada who is very interested in pursuing the Wiccan way of life and environmentalist in my own way.

  47. How did you get here?
Jeeze, I don’t remember. I was looking for some new content to read, and I’m pretty sure I just typed “stripper blog” in to google.com

How long have you been reading?
    A few months.

    Why do you come back?
Your crazy stories, written in such an ejoyable manner… you really have a “style”. And it’s such a radically different lifestyle from my own, that it’s just downright refreshing to remember that, hey, there’s a whole big world out there, and sometimes you have to get out there and enjoy it.

What do you want to see here?
Same ol’, same ol’. The plant lore is really fascinating to me in particular.

And, of course, who are you?
Just some college girl from Wisconsin.

  48. How did you get here?
    I know you from vandwellers

How long have you been reading?
    since ~Nov ’07

    Why do you come back?
I never know what you are going to write about

What do you want to see here?
More of the same… I am intrigued by a life that is so unique

And, of course, who are you?
Lindy the bus dweller, from among the oaks 🙂

  49. I got to here from a friend who has opened my eyes on many things:-)

I’ve been reading for a few months now.

I keep coming back as I can visualize much of process – never tried sripping but wish I had….in the past I struggled to make enough to get through university and worked many different jobs and drove clunkers that had many of the same reliability issues you describe in your van.

Also keep coming back as I have some small expertise in cheap and effective roadside repairs – vehicles never seem to fail near parts depots!

What do I want to see – actually someday I would really like to bring my enchanting mistress and watch one of your shows…and maybe get to change the fuel filter in your van-LOL

Who am I …I keep asking that question myself…certainly not conventional to ANYbody who takes the time to know me…free spirit but thriving in the corporate world in semi-frozen Canada…somewhat akin to your Alaska. I don’t strip but I do expose my thought processes daily in my creative work – rather fun shocking the established way of things…most favourite comment “We NEVER would of thought of that”…

  50. How did you get here?

Wide Lawns, Narrow Minds – I like her writing enough to click on all her links…

How long have you been reading?

    Since Nov 07

    Why do you come back?

I put this in a comment some time ago – Some blogs I check to see what people are doing. Yours I check to see how you are. Your writing is fresh and clear and you come across as infinitely likeable. Your lifestyle is interesting -obviously- and……best of all…..you are REAL. No airs, no graces, just natural.

What do you want to see here?

    Whatever you want to put.

And, of course, who are you?

I am 28. I am a girl. I live by the sea in west Wales, UK. I am an artist. For money I work nights in a homeless shelter. Sometimes I am happy, sometimes I am sad. Mostly I am trying to find a happy medium. I am slowly learing to put cynicism aside and embrace my inner spirituality – to become more in tune with the planet and all that bollocks.

We are all beautiful, just not all of us know it as much as we should. You are helping to change that.
