I think you should all know that one of my very favoritest van dwelling people has started a blog. She’s like a more grown up version of me.
But she was my favorite van dweller before I knew that. I was at this truck stop in New Mexico breaking up with my girlfriend and moving everything I owned out of the bus and into the van. The van was a lot smaller than the bus, and I was having some logistical difficulty. So, of course, I turned to the internet and found the vandwellers group. Browsing through the photos section there were millions of pictures of the outsides of peoples vans, or vans set up for a weekend camping trip. I was starting to wonder if any of the van dwellers actually dwelled in their vans, when I came to the pictures of Kate’s van. Her van is beautiful and peaceful and everything I wanted in life. Then later I found out we were time delayed twins.
Anyways, she’s very amazing, and her blog is young and awesome with poetry and musings and good stories.
Go check it out, and give her some comment love.
Hey, thanks for pointing out Kate’s blog. I’ve been lurking in the van groups for a long while (not having a van I feel like staying quiet). She does have a definite style to her vehicles that is unusual; as is yours.
hey you! thanks for the plug! but i think we should clarify…i am older than you, but not necessarily more grown up 😉
Unrelated question: I was reading this weeks Time magazine and there was a quote saying that strippers who are ovulating make $70 (average) per hour, those who are menstruation make $35, and those who are doing neither make $50. It was in the “Why We Love” article. Just wondering if these were accurate earnings ratios from personal experience.
It’s an accurate enough range of average earnings, Ian, but most strippers’ll tell you that study’s bullshit.
