Woops

So actually it came to my attention, or re-entered my consciousness, rather, that I have a warrant in PA. For a parking ticket. I think that might be the kind of thing they check at the border. Or maybe not, since it’s just a parking ticket. I don’t seem to be able to pay it online. 😥

Do I go or do I wait it out till Monday when I can pay it on the phone? Hmmm…

  1. I’d wait to be on the safe side. Just to be sure. I love your blog. I found it through chris (Truck House/House Truck/Van House).

  2. I have never been asked for my passport and a drivers license at the border. My suggestion is just give them your passport. The parking ticket is probably not referenced to your passport and that whole different name thing is the stuff they don’t like to hear at the border crossing.

  3. No way would parking tickets show up, unless 1) you had enough of them for a warrant and 2) the guy at the border was a PA cop.

  4. No, there is an interstate warrant in states that have reciprocity with PA. AK doesn’t, but I’m pretty sure they check that stuff at the border and if I got arrested it’d be like a $1k tow to the impound lot plus the impound fee, bail, and not getting through with my fucked up documentation. I’ll just wait for monday when I can pay it and bring the receipt with me.
