The Gateway people had said that it could take up to six weeks to get my laptop back. When I sent it to them I enclosed some, uhm, well, motivating materials (I was all, “hmm, should I send em christmas cookies or naked pictures?” I won’t tell you what I ended up sending) but I didn’t have much hope.
This morning the phone woke me up and it was a recorded message from Gateway saying they were working on my computer and it would be 3-5 days to fix it and then shipping time. 3-5 days? It’s a power supply. It should take ten or fifteen minutes.
So just now the phone rang and it was a recording from Gatway again. The laptop’s in the mail, and it’ll be here in 2-3 business days. 😀
Now I gotta stay here till it gets here.
You, are a hoot! I always get a kick out of your blog. Somewhere inside you is a wise old person yelling “Party on, dude!” and then telling you how to do it with style.
Thanks for the smiles.

Woo! Boobie magic! Err. I’m guessing 🙂
Well, never having seen your boobies, I’m only guessing but I’d say they’re likely a large part of the “style.” 🙂
Seriously, you have a lot of wise comments on life and that is so frigging cool for a young ‘un. Why couldn’t you be straight or bi and living in my town?
🙂
Cheers
Peter
Ahhh…definitely speaks to motivation… smart move!
I hope that was a trick statement and you sent both!!! xx oo xx oo 😉
I’m so glad things worked out promptly for you! Erm, I put a link to your blog on my dinky little xanga blog today and I hope that’s ok. If it’s not just let me know and I’ll take it down.
I’ve shown this to my boyfriend who has been waiting on a monitor for 3 months. Clearly, he should have included either cookies or a nude photo of himself with the monitor when he sent it in!
😉
